  • TOPEKA – Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced last Thursday numerous appointments to boards and commissions.
    “I appreciate the willingness of these Kansans to share their time and talents improving the State of Kansas,” Governor Brownback said.
    The governor’s office is always looking for qualified, interested Kansans to serve the state on commissions and boards in their areas of expertise.

    The Kansas Fire Service Training Commission provides oversight and guidance for the program and guarantee its continued financial wellbeing.
    Michael Roosevelt, Augusta, is being appointed to a four year term.
    Mr. Roosevelt received his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Southwestern College and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Wichita State University.
    He currently serves as the Deputy Fire Chief for the Andover Fire Department.
