  • The Lions took on Burden in Leon on Thursday and earned two wins.

  • The Lions took on Burden in Leon on Thursday and earned two wins.
    Bluestem run ruled Central Burden 13-0 in five innings in game one.
    Copper Minnick was 2-2, with 3 runs, and 2 rbi’s. Dakota Bullard went 1-3 with 2 runs scored and a rbi.
    Josh Muckenthaler was 1-2, scoring a run and adding a rbi.
    Cody Easterday earned the victory going 5 innings, striking out 9 with no walks and only 3 hits in the shut out win.
    The Lions had to play the whole 7 innings in game two but won 6-1.
    John Stiger got the win going 6 innings, striking out 8, walking two and allowing only 3 hits and one unearned run.
    Nick Saia went the seventh striking out the side.
    Stiger helped his cause going 1-4 and scoring two runs.
    Minnick was 1-3, with run and rbi. Easterday went 1-4 with a run and rbi
    Lane Moran 1-2 with an rbi.
    “I am very pleased with our improvement. We keep getting better each game,” said Bluestem head coach Mark Womacks.
