  • I for one, am not surprised that the Gazette won so many awards. We should be proud of Augusta’s newspaper!
    Some of us get tired of picking up other’s trash. Try keeping a trash bag in your car. It’s the considerate thing to do.
    How can we bring businesses or people to Augusta when every street in town is full of blight? Why would anyone want to buy or build an expensive home in the area when they can not water a yard? Home ownership used to promote maintenance and beautification to property, but how do you encourage people who are happy to go out in public in pajamas to maintain or improve anything? How do we encourage landlords to not be slumlords? What will Kelly and Ohio look like when there is an empty building and parking lot in a month? I hope the mayor and city council start about all of Augusta and not just State St.
