  • Members of the board of directors of the United Way of El Dorado were recently presented with a corporate donation from HollyFrontier.
That donation, totaling more than $98,000, matched employee contributions after a successful employee campaign.
“We are delighted to help support the local United Way and the agencies which they support,” said Josh Goodmanson, HollyFrontier vice present and plant manager, as well as a member of the local board. “We are particularly thankful for our employees who have once again given generously to our local effort.”
The United Way of El Dorado recently completed its most successful campaign in history, raising $376,000. The local United Way supports 24 local non-profilts. The local organization is governed by a volunteer board made up of 24 citizens who participate in the fundraising and allocation of those funds.
Also a participant in the support for the campaign was USW Local 241, which represents hourly employees at HollyFrontier. The union also contributed financially and encouraged their members to support this local cause. USW member Dwayne Moore is a member of the Board of the United Way.
Further information on the local United Way can be found on its Facebook page.
