Cleo R. (Welty) Rohr, 93, of El Dorado, died Monday, March 27, 2013 at Lakepoint Nursing home in El Dorado. The celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Catholic Church. The Recitation of the Rosary will also be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the church. The family will have a visitation on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home.
Cleo was born Dec. 15, 1919 in Caddo, Texas, the daughter of Victor C. and Anna (Kirkendall) Copeland. She lived in Burns and attended schools in Butler County. She was a wonderful mom and homemaker. She loved to make quilts for family and friends. On Jan. 28, 1978 she was married to Alvin P. Rohr in El Dorado. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Surviving family include husband, Alvin of the home; sons, George and Adella Welty of El Dorado, Richard C. and Grace Eogarin Welty of Maize, Elmer F. Rohr of El Dorado and Donald J. and Teresa Rohr of Osborne, Kan.; daughters, Rose Ann Rohr, Lila and Butch Mercer, Judy Rohr-Smith and husband James Smith, all of El Dorado and Juliann and Gerald Rowland of Augusta; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, George Welty; one son, Victor Welty; one daughter, R. Irene Macy; four brothers; and two sisters.
