Changing our world begins by changing ourselves. The people who make the biggest difference in our world first changed themselves.
First, let us consider the life of Jesus Christ. He left the fellowship with His Father and the Holy Spirit, became flesh just like you and me so that He could reconcile man back to God. Scripture says, “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:10).
Jesus Christ died, was buried and arose from the grave. He took away the power of sin; the sting of death; and the Law by His sacrifice. He changed the world forever!
Second, let us also consider the life of the apostle Paul. Paul’s past was that of a murderer. Paul obeyed the commands, thus he repented and was baptized into Christ. From the point of his conversion, he never looked back. He went throughout the known world preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ. Next to Christ, no other has made a difference like Paul. Today we have 13 letters that he wrote to people - to churches on how to live the Christian life. He, too, changed the world in which he lived.
Finally, let us consider you and me. Our time to make a difference is now. What we do with today will determine how tomorrow uses us. If we are to change our world, it must begin with us - making the changes in our own lives so that we can make a difference in our world.
Scripture says, “...Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5).
Change your world by changing your life!
