Leon Hiebert was pastor of Andover Assembly of God (Generations Church A/G) from 1989 to 2009. He is a Viet Nam veteran who spent 10 years in the US Navy most of the time as a corpsman serving with the Marine Corps. A native of Belleville, Kan., Hiebert is semi retired and lives in Andover with his wife, Sharon. He is a school bus driver for USD 385, Andover, Kansas.

Several family-friendly pets are available for adoption at the VTF. Adoption fees vary according to the needs of the pet. Military affiliation is not required to adopt a pet from the VTF. The VTF is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesday; however, the VTF will be closed March 29 for end-of-month inventory.
