  • There will be a community Easter Egg Hunt for local children at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, at Augusta’s Garvin Park. The event will be sponsored by the First Baptist Church, The First Southern Baptist Church, Life Church, and the First United Methodist Church.
The Easter Bunny will be greeting children before the egg hunting begins, so bring your camera.
There will be separate areas for children to gather eggs: 0-2 years; 3-5 years; 6-8 years; and 9-12 years.
There will be a drawing for two grand prizes (one for a girl and one for a boy) in each age group.
Children are encouraged to bring their baskets if they have one.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the First Baptist Church Christian Life Center, 1501 State St.
