  • A solid season for the Wildcats had El Dorado double their amount of losses with victories, finishing 14-7 overall and 6-3 in league play.
For this season’s performance the Wildcats earned a first round home substate victory over Chanute and several league accolades.
Leading the way for El Dorado was junior point guard Travis House, earning a first team nomination for the Wildcats.
This is the second 1st team distinction for House after being the only sophomore named to last year’s team.
A year after the Wildcats went 8-13, El Dorado head coach Gary Melcher guided the Wildcats to a 14-7 season earning the Coach of the Year award shared with Kurt Kinnamon of McPherson.
Senior Trevor Crain was named to the second team for the Wildcats who was an Honorable Mention nomination a year ago.
Junior Jared Haury was awarded his first league designation being named to the second team as well for the Wildcats.
