During the boys basketball banquet Tuesday night, coach David Stephenson said some of the best compliments he repeatedly received throughout the season were from other coaches wishing they could get their players to play as hard as the Orioles did.

The other coaches recognized the Orioles for that in the All-League voting. Three Augusta players earned Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League-Div. IV honors.

Senior Chase Winter and sophomore Connor Hurst were named Second Team All-League. Senior Kesten Trebbe earned Honorable Mention.

Winter was the second-best free throw shooter in the league and led the Orioles in assists and plus-minus scoring. Winter averaged 8.4 points per game.

Hurst continued to ascend as one of the team's outstanding players. He led the team in scoring (12.0 ppg, fifth in the league), steals (2.3 spg, second in the league) and minutes.

Trebbe, one of the best shooters around, made a team-high 34 3-pointers.

Players who received First Team honors are Clearwater's Johnny Becker and Colin Frickey, Andale's Hunter Knoblauch, Gerad Deaver and Ben Seiler, and Collegiate's Riley Kemmer. Knoblauch was named league MVP.

Second Team included Circle's Stewart Dennison, Andale's Jason Hermreck, Clearwater's Reed VanDeest and Collegiate's Markus Phox.
