  • El Dorado Police responded to a robbery at the Community National Bank on West Central Wednesday.
    The robbery occurred a little before 3 p.m.
    Lt. Chad Young said they are looking for a white male wearing a green hoodie or sweatshirt who is about 6 feet 2 inches and 170 pounds. He was described to be wearing jeans and a blue bandana on his face. The suspect was last seen driving a mid-90s red Jeep Cherokee or similar SUV type vehicle, but no direction of travel was reported. No weapon was observed.
    According to Police Chief Tom Boren, the suspect approached a bank teller and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash.
    Following the robbery, El Dorado Police and Butler County Sheriff’s officers blocked both entrances to Walmart while they conducted their investigation. They also took a police dog through the Walmart parking lot.

    There were no injuries during the robbery.
    Investigators are reviewing videotaped recordings to develop further leads.
