Work was completed last week on the new turf in the infield at McDonald Stadium. There was about two to three days of work left on the field when the recent snow hit. The new turf will allow teams to play more during rainy weather. Previously, a rainout has caused schedule conflicts with other teams because so many entities use that stadium. It was paid for by the city and Butler Community College, who provided $75,000, with the remainder of the $140,000 being provided by Ramon Criss.
