The moisture in the form of snow was a welcome relief last week. However, with the snow comes the clouds and the cold wether. Furthermore, as much as we need the moisture, the sun is also a welcomed sight.
Life is like our weather - sometimes we need those cloud breakers. Let me suggest some cloud breakers in living life.
First, live life one day at a time. It’s been said, “Yesterday is a cancelled check and tomorrow is a promissory note,” so be thankful for today.
The Psalmist says, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24).
Second, learn to think positively. No matter how bad your day may be, there is always a silver lining to everything in life. Remember this: your thought patterns will produce feelings, and your feelings will produce actions.
So, learn to think positively.
“As a man thinks within himself, so he is.” (Proverbs 23:7)
Finally, look to the Son for relief. Jesus himself says, “...I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12).
When we look to the Son, the clouds of doubt, discouragement, and despair will soon fade away!
