The El Dorado City Commission approved a 6 percent merit raise for City Manager Herb Llewellyn during their meeting Monday.
The action was taken following an executive session to discuss personnel.
“I feel like you have gone above and beyond to perform the tasks we’ve put before you,” said Commissioner Bill Young.
Young made the motion to increase Llewellyn’s salary through a merit raise of 6 percent retroactive to Jan. 1.
“Over the last six years I’ve watched him improve on his skills and it has been a pleasure to watch,” said Commissioner David Chapin.
They approved the raise 4-0. Mayor Tom McKibban was absent.
