Alberta B. Harms, 84, of El Dorado and formerly of Potwin, passed away March 5, 2013, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital of El Dorado. She was born May 6, 1928, in southern Marion County, the daughter of Otto and Esther (Gaines) Weber. She had 35 years teaching experience, mostly first grade at Remington Elementary. On April 14, 1950, she was united in marriage to Vernon G. Harms. He preceded her in death along with her only sister Beatrice Breitenstein. She is lovingly survived by her children, Teresa Corfman of Buffalo, Minn., Kent and Dianna Harms of El Dorado, Cindy and John Hearn of El Dorado, and Eric and Kelly Harms of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nephew, Terry and Nancy Breitenstein of Birmingham, Ala. Visitation with family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church of Potwin. Interment will be in the Walnut Valley Memorial Park of El Dorado.
