Norma K. Bisagno, 87, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at LakePoint Assisted Living in Augusta.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Norma was born in McCracken, Kan. on Sept. 13, 1925, to the late Ruby (Elmore) and Glenn Ryan. She graduated from McCracken High School, Stephens College, and Kansas State University.
She was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church, PEO, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Junior Forum, Friends of the Library and Brown Baggers, Book Club, Soroptimist Club, Augusta Arts Council, the Wichita LIP Investment Club, KSU President's Club, DAR, and Eastern Star. She served on the Board for the Augusta Public Library and Idea, Inc., and was also recognized as a 50+ year member of PEO and Pi Beta Phi.
She married Robert D. Bisagno of Augusta on April 3, 1947. They were married for 51 years when he preceded her in death in 1998.
Norma is survived by: her children and their spouses, Kay (David) Bleakley of Mission Hills, Kan., and David (DeeAnn) Bisagno of Augusta; four grandchildren, Matthew Bleakley of Dallas, Texas, Erin Bleakley of Mission Hills, Kan., Alyssa and Bobby Bisagno of Augusta); sister-in-law, June Parry of Southlake, Texas; five nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Darian Nicole Bisagno in 1997; her brother and sister-in-law, Elmore and Lorraine Ryan, her sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Don Buster, her brother-in-law, Ward Parry; a nephew, Glenn Ryan.
Memorials have been established with the First United Methodist Church of Augusta, Augusta Public Library, Augusta Historic Theatre and the United Methodist Church of McCracken, Kan.
