  • The weather system continues to trend further south – which increases our snow amount and decreases the ice amount….hopefully!  Round 1 is possible during the day tomorrow which could bring light snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. A lull may occur in the weather before Round 2 begins. Light freezing rain, drizzle and sleet may precede the snow. After the 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm timeframe, widespread precipitation is expected. Snow in the 4” to 5” range seems possible with the higher amounts in the northern end of our county and lower amounts further south. Ice accumulations of 0.25” are also possible with higher amounts possible to our southeast. A sharp gradient is still expected between the snow and ice transition line and where that exactly sets up remains in question.  Consequently, our snowfall total vs ice accumulations will be dependant upon where this line sets up. East/Southeast winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected throughout this. Snow will taper off during the day on Thursday.
