  • Flinthills Services, Inc. Executive Director Kathy Walter wants to help community members learn more about available services for adults with disabilities.
On Feb. 14, she helped host the organization’s first Community Inclusion Luncheon.
The group ate together, then toured the facility with clients Cadi and Chris.
“Once a month these will be offered,” she said.
The next Luncheons are scheduled for March 14 and April 11, both from noon to 1 p.m. Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP by the Monday prior to the Luncheon.
The idea to host the Community Inclusion Luncheons came from a discussion among Flinthills board members. Walter asked them if they knew anyone who might be interested in taking a tour of the facility to learn more about the services offered.
“Really we just want people to understand our mission,” said Walter.
Flinthills Services, Inc. provides services to assist people with disabilities to live and work independently in the community.
