WICHITA—Augusta's girls bowling team continued its hot streak Friday when the Orioles dominated the field to win the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. IV meet.

The Orioles finished with a team score of 2395, a mere five pins shy of the goal of 2400 that coach Kellee Roberts set.

Bethany Watson, who is starting to get hot at the right time of the season, bowled a 653 series, topping 200 all three games. Watson earned the individual AVCTL championship and a First Team All-League honor.

Hannah Trudell earned a third-place medal overall with a 598 series. Katy Nordman earned a fourth-place medal with a 560 series. Mason Kuether earned a fifth-place medal with a 553 series. And Cheyenne Brunhoeber earned a seventh-place medal with her 543 series. All those girls also earned First Team honors.

Circle's Erika Slater took second place overall with a 633, and Chelsea Horner took sixth place with a 549 for the Thunderbirds. Both of them earned the remaining All-League spots.

On the boys side, Augusta and Circle actually tied for second with a team score of 2471, but won the tiebreaker. The Orioles were merely eight pins behind first-place Collegiate.

Kayl Warne led the Orioles with a 656 series and took third place overall. Sam Davis took eighth overall with an even 600 series. Eric Smith took ninth with a series of 592. Warne earned First Team All-League. Davis and Smith earned Second Team.
