  • Three event highlights

    1 The city of El Dorado will be celebrating the completion of Fire Station #2 with a dedication ceremony Tuesday. The department’s newest facility is located on the northwestern edge of the city just south of the industrial park and east of the Kansas Turnpike.

    1 The city of El Dorado will be celebrating the completion of Fire Station #2 with a dedication ceremony Tuesday. The department’s newest facility is located on the northwestern edge of the city just south of the industrial park and east of the Kansas Turnpike.
    2 Following the dedication ceremony, the fire department will host an open house with beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
    3 Fire Station #2 began housing firefighters on Dec. 1 and by the end of January they had gone on 61 calls. The facility also houses the Butler Community College Fire Science Program on the west side of the building.
