Troy D. Butts, 48, a resident of El Dorado, loving husband and father, went home to his heavenly father Feb. 8, 2013 as the result of long-term health complications associated with a spinal injury in 1986. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Butler Community College, become a design draftsman, and later, a CAD professor at his alma mater. He married his high school sweetheart, Pam (Beem), in 1982 and she cared for him in sickness and in health, especially when he was no longer able to work. He was preceded in death by his father, Neil in 1999; his grandparents (Butts) and grandparents (Carl); and sister-in-law, Dee (Wisby) Butts. Survivors are his loving wife, Pam Butts; son, Timothy and his wife, Sara; and dog, Sophie of El Dorado; mother, Barbara Butts of Goodland; siblings, Mike and Becky Butts of Stella, Mo., Rod and Suzie Butts of Goodland, Patty Mills of Colorado, and Tony and Michelle Butts of Colby; and their families.
