With the varsity wrestlers resting for the regional tournament this coming week, several younger Orioles got a chance to shine at the Remington tournament Saturday.
And they definitely shined.
Augusta won first place in the team standings with 158 points, beating out Southeast of Saline by 10 points for the title.
Tyler Hildibrand had the best day for the Orioles, taking first place in the 113-pound weight division.
Shane Bosley (145) and Jacob Riddle (182) both took second place.
Josh Moore (120), Connor Spellman (138), Rob Winzer (152), Cody Thompson (160), Darrien Hollinger (170), Dalton Watts (182 for team X), Ian O'Laughlin (195) and Blake Aitchison (220) all took third place in their respective division.
A total of 10 teams competed in the tournament: Central of Burden, Central Heights, Douglass, Flinthills, McPherson, Southeast of Saline, West Elk, Remington and Clearwater .
Also in action Saturday, Patrick Wilhite went 4-1 and took third place at the Valley Center JV tournament.
