Scripture:   Acts 15:28 NIV  It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements:

Observation:  The leaders in the early church were challenged with some tough decisions.  Did non-Jewish people have to go through the traditions of becoming Jewish to be a part of the church?  The leaders met together to hear reports of what God was doing.  Then they, relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, made a decision.

Application:   There are times when I need to make a decision that is not clearly outlined in God’s Word.  I want to be able to say about every tough decision I make, “It seems good to the Holy Spirit and to me…”

Prayer:   Holy Spirit, I trust you to guide my thoughts and decisions.  I welcome your input.  I believe it is your desire to be a part of my daily life.  Amen
