Two of the three suspects arrested for a shooting Monday at 433 N. Alleghany made their first appearance in court Wednesday afternoon.
Butler County District Judge Ross McIlwain remanded Montee R. Iverson, 34-year-old black male, of 917 S. Witter, Wichita, to Butler County Jail pending $250,000 bail. Iverson has been charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
Also appearing this afternoon was a 29 year-old white female Mandy Renee Crandall of 1915 W. McArthur, Wichita. She was charged with Assisting Escape of a Fugitive in the events following the shooting in El Dorado. Her bond was set at $100,000.
The county attorney reminded the court the charges may be amended as the investigation develops. The victim of the shooting, 24 year-old Trevor Wakefield, who lived at 433 N. Allegheny, died yesterday morning at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, where he had been transported to Monday morning.
The third defendant was released with no charges.
