Over the next three months, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital will be conducting a community health needs assessment that will be used to guide the Hospital and other community healthcare providers in addressing current and future healthcare needs. SBAMH will be partnering with the Butler County Health Department, represented by Janice Powers, MPH, Director, and South Central Mental Health, represented by Dan Rice, PhD, Executive Director, to complete this work.
In March, approximately 3,000 families from our service area will receive a comprehensive healthcare survey in the mail. We are asking those who receive this survey to please take the time to complete it so we may better serve the health needs of our communities. In addition, a public town hall meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25th, at the El Dorado Civic Center in downtown El Dorado.
“We hope the community will take advantage of this opportunity to provide input into the future of healthcare and services we offer. The feedback we receive from this assessment is essential in the planning for the future health and wellness of citizens residing in Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital’s service area,” said Gayle Arnett, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital president and CEO.
Vince Vandehaar, MBA, from VVV Research & Development INC, an independent health research and consulting firm from Olathe, has been retained to conduct and complete this assessment.
