  • Squires Auto-Truck Service is working today to remove a semi from the Walnut Creek following an accident north of town Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred at about 8 p.m. when the driver, who was from Minnesota, started coughing, then blacked out while driving on the Kansas Turnpike.
"The only thing I remember is hitting the brakes because I was feeling dizzy," the driver said. "I woke up in the trees."
He was not injured in the accident.
He was hauling a load of hay worth about $5,000 to $6,000 to Texas.
