Delores A. (Goddard) Jesseph, 77, of El Dorado, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Cremation will preceded the services.
She was born on March 17, 1935 in Caney, Kan., to James and Nora (Miller) Goddard. She graduated from Caney High School and worked as a secretary for Mid-Continent Savings. Delores married Russell Jesseph on Sept. 12, 1953 in Independence, Kan. Delores’ main love in life was family, whether you were a relative or not. She was a great cook, especially for her carrot cake; and most people knew her as Grandma J.
Those who survive include: her husband, Russell; daughter and her husband, Lori and Gary Colbern of Wellsville, Kan.; a sister and her husband, Shirley and John Coffey of Junction City; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cyndy Debita; a son, David Jesseph; her parents; four sisters; and one brother.
