  • Forty white crosses are on display in front of Augusta’s St. James Catholic Church and School this week in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Roe-v-Wade, the infamous Supreme Court decision of 1973 when abortion was legalized for all 50 U.S. states.
Each cross represents well over a million children who have lost their lives through abortion each year. Even though the Executive branch of our Government, many in the media, and some in the medical field, including the American Medical Association, still hail abortion as a ‘constitutional right’, more and more average Americans are ‘pro-life’. Science and common sense practically scream that unborn children are human beings!
While there are still those who, for whatever reasons, want to deny the unborn children their right to life… we, as a church and a community of believers will continue to pray for, educate and help those who find themselves in difficult situations regarding unplanned or problem pregnancies.
If you are one who regrets an abortion you can receive help from Project Rachael at 269-4673.
If you are pregnant and need help you may call Augusta’s Crisis Pregnancy Center, 755-9372 or A Better Choice in Wichita at 685-5757.
If you would like to join us in prayer or worship call 775-2155.
