Richard Gene Hull, 86, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. A celebration of his life will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Park Avenue Baptist Church. Cremation will follow the services. He was born on Oct. 12, 1926 in Paola, Kan., the son of John and Clara (Armstrong) Hull. Gene was a clerk at Farm & Home Hardware for a number of years. He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening; woodworking and going fishing. On Dec. 25, 1947, he was married to Emma May Sizemore in Greeley, Kan. Those who survive including his wife May of the home are: two sons, Richard, Jr. and wife Carol of Augusta, and Ron and wife Cathy of Elberta, Ala.; brothers, David Hull and wife Ellen of Toronto, Kan., and Gayle and Marlis Hull of Richmond, Kan.; sister, Norma Hull of Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
