The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce Annual Recognition Event will be held Monday at the Civic Center, with the social starting at 6 p.m.
This event, which has a western theme, is a celebration of a successful 2012 for the chamber.
Starting at 6:30 the Chamber Board of Directors will award and recognize those individual, committees and community projects that have contributed time, hard work and dedication to the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. Six of El Dorado’s great restaurants will be showcasing delicious food items and include Beijing, Willies, Two Brothers BBQ, The Chop House, Great Western Dining and Oklahoma Boys BBQ.
After the short program which includes musical numbers by the Butler Community College Headliners, CELEBRATIONS! casino tables will be open for your entertainment. Lady Luck and the most chips will result in winning one of these great prizes sponsored by Walmart: Grand Prize - DVD Home Theater System; Second Prize – Blu-Ray Disc Player and $50 Chamber Bucks; and Third Prize - $100 Chamber Bucks.
The “official chip tabulator” is Eric Bird of Bird and Company Chartered.
There also will be a silent with items from local businesses, and a Shout Out Loud Auction with auctioneer, David Sundgren presiding over packages including: Stearman Aviation @ the Benton Airport - 2 biplane rides; Prairie Band Casino & Resort – Overnight stay for two and two free rounds of Golf at the Firekeeper Golf Course; Butler Community College – 15 college credit hours; Prairie Trails Golf – 1 year membership for golf, golf cart and range balls; YMCA – 1 year family membership; Lakepoint Aviation – Airplane ride for two for one hour over Butler County and the Flinthills; and SPECS – Certificate for $250 toward prescription glasses.
Tickets are $40 and include two drink tickets, dining and entertainment. A cash bar will be available.
