Augusta's middle school girls basketball teams had a good weekend.

The 7th-grade girls B basketball team won a pair of games to win the Goddard Eisenhower B Team tournament championship Saturday. The Bluejays whipped Goddard 28-3 in the semifinals, then defeated Valley Center 20-8 in the title game.

Jordan Curry scored eight points for Augusta in the championship game. Ryleigh McLallen added six points.

The 7th-grade B team is undefeated on the season with an 11-0 record.

The 8th-grade B team took third place by beating Goddard. Taylor Patterson scored eight points to lead the Bluejays. Kristen VanDever had four points.

The 8th-grade B team's record is now 8-3. Records don't reflect Monday's home games.

The Bluejays return to action Thursday at Newton.
