Don E. Cowles, 58, of Andover, died Wednesday, Jan. 9 at his home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado. Visitation with the family present will be Monday evening from 6 to 7:30, also at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
He was born on Aug. 29, 1954 in El Dorado, the son of Ralph and Ruth Knox Cowles. He graduated from El Dorado High School; and received a BA of Criminal Justice from WSU. He was a retired Change Board Analyst with Boeing. Don was an avid Hot Rod enthusiast, and he loved planes, his three cats and telling good stories.
On Sept. 4, 1982 he was married to Lynn Dubetsky in Wichita.
Those who survive including his wife Lynn of 30 years are: his daughter, Nicole; a brother, Gary, all of Wichita; and a sister and her husband, Barbara and Logan Evenson of Augusta.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
