For those of you who don’t know the story – her name is Hudson. She suffered two broken legs as a result of a 65 mph head-on collision between the truck she was riding in and another.
It appeared that Hudson would be a second fatality because the cost of saving her was simply too much. Then, out of an ambulance stepped a Paramedic – her name is Misty. She would adopt Hudson and cover the vet bill.
Knowing the costs would be extensive somebody contacted a media outlet to tell the story and ask for help. And help you did.
Hudson had a cast put on her broken front leg and a metal rod surgically inserted in her broken back leg. And recover she did.
The video below shows Hudson minus her leg cast. The bone in the back leg mended too. And last week the veterinarian removed the steel rod. If she could speak she would certainly thank each of you that helped save her life.
We seem to be bombarded with a never-ending supply of sad stories. Then along comes a Hudson story ~ An innocent creature faces sure death – out of the blue a savior steps forward – and then help from another – and another – and another – and …
There sure is a lot of goodness in the world.
