The Family Life Center Safehouse would like to thank all who have helped the Safehouse during the year.
To the Gazette:
The Family Life Center Safehouse would like to thank all of the organizations that have helped the Safehouse during the year. In 2012 the Safehouse sheltered 61 women and 38 children. We have received 798 hotline calls. Our Court Advocate has helped 194 victims with protection orders.
The following organizations have made it possible for the clients in shelter and outreach to have a very Merry Christmas with presents for the women and children and to help the Safehouse operate throughout the year:
First Christian Church of El Dorado, First Christian Church Women’s Fellowship of El Dorado , First Baptist Church of Augusta, , El Dorado Downtown Kiwanis, United Methodist Women’s Unit of Douglass, Towanda United Methodist Church, Trinity Episcopal Church Women’s Group of El Dorado, United Methodist Church Women’s Group of El Dorado, Trinity United Methodist Church Ladies Circles of El Dorado, Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, The Print Source, Donges Properties, EDCF Staff, Alternative Christmas Market, Benton Lions Club, El Dorado Car Show, El Dorado High School KAY Club, Nokomis Club, The Soroptimist Club, Cato’s, and many individual donors.
A very special thank you goes to the United Methodist Church for the donation of the Safehouse, the El Dorado Charities and Trimble Trust for supporting the Safehouse throughout the years.
I would also like to thank all of the Safehouse Board Members for their support and dedication to the Safehouse. They are very much a part of what the Safehouse is all about, helping victims of domestic violence and sexual assault become self-sufficient and lead abuse free lives for themselves and their children.
Thank you all,
Darla Carter and
