  • Augusta USD 402 Board of Education member Andy Hall has re-filed for a seat on the local school board. His current term is due to expire on June 30, 2013.
He was District II Seat 5, but has moved and will be seeking District II Seat 5.
Hall had announced at the October BOE meeting that he would not seek re-election, but told the Gazette on Tuesday that he had re-considered his decision, “I’ve given this extra thought and I do want to serve should the citizens elect to have me again. I want to thank everyone who contacted me with support and reminding me why I should stay on the BOE.”
So far Hall is the only BOE member to file.
Other members with terms expiring in June are Robert McCalla, who was Seat 5 in District II, but has moved and if he decides to re-file it will put him against Larry Winter for Seat 4, District 1, if Winter chooses to run again.
Those wishing to be included on the ballot have until noon Jan. 22 to register.
