The ladies of El Dorado Charities will be hosting the 2013 annual gala on Jan. 26.
The event raises funds for various Butler County non-profit agencies. The gala will be held at the Hubbard Welcome Center on the Butler Community College Campus. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and a plated dinner served at 7 p.m.
There will be a live and silent auction featuring items such as: Symphony in the Flint Hills tickets, a Casino Trip, Travel Vouchers, Digital Camera, Bouidouir Photography Session, Guided Hunts, a Kindle Fire, Catering by Kaye, and much more.
Miss Kansas 2012 Sloane Lewis will be at this year’s gala, and Lewis will have an auction item for one lucky girl. They also will hold a drawing for an iPad and a pearl necklace. People do not need to be present to win.
Music for the evening will be provided by the band, Lucky People.
The funds raised through the gala will be distributed to these organizations: Special Families, Tri-County CASA, American Association of University Women (AAUW), Partners in Education (PIE), Sunlight Child Advocacy Center, 12 Baskets Food Ministry, Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL), Wheatland Fishing Has No Boundaries, “I Can Read” Volunteer Tutoring, Coutts Museum of Art, Birthline, Family Life Center “Safehouse,” Bethlehem House, YMCA, ARC of Butler County, Butler Adult Education, Butler Homeless Initiative and Big Brother Big Sister of Butler County.
