An offered plea agreement to Jacob Hoyt in the first degree murder charge of Loyce Cody has led to the scheduling of a final pre-trial hearing Friday before his jury trial would get underway Monday morning.
If a plea is worked out by the close of business on Thursday that will be put on the record Friday morning. If not, Judge Mike Ward will rule on the defense's motion to suppress the interview with Hoyt by police.
If Hoyt's trial moves forward, the jury trial is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday.
The co-defendant Lyndsey Giovinazzo's attorney has indicated she is going to appeal the judge's denial to withdraw the motion of her plea.
