After living in the freezer for the past couple of weeks, nothing beats a warmer, sunny day to lift your spirits and remind you that winter will one day come to an end. Such is it this Sunday.

It seems as if a calmness has settled upon our town. The streets are quiet and bathed in late afternoon sunlight, which casts lengthening shadows through winter’s branches.

This is the kind of day to spend with a friend or a significant other, or maybe just a dog or a cat. It is soothing to the soul, a quiet pause in the action before the busyness of Monday and the week ahead descends upon us.

Anyway, I am thankful simply to be able to enjoy this peaceful day, and I hope that some in the rest of Pratt were able to do so also.
