Cleta E. Swisher, 55, of El Dorado, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Wichita. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Carlson Colonial Chapel. Cremation will precede the service. Inurnment will be held at Leon Cemetery. Cleta was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Charles and Beulah (Roper) Sanders. She was united in marriage to James Swisher on June 8, 1979 in Miami, Okla. Cleta was a department manager at Wal-Mart for 10 years. Cleta was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her Shelties and enjoyed camping, gardening, spending time with family and working at Georgetown in Wichita. Cleta will always be remembered for her love, strength and courage which now live on in her daughters. Cleta touched the heart of many lives but only captured the heart of one, her loving and devoted supporter friend and spouse James of 33 years which she leaves. She also leaves her children, GaraLee Ronald Haskins of Oxford, Kan., Beulah Pritz of San Antonio, Texas, Cleta Andrews of Rose Hill and Nikki Smith of Mulvane; her mother, Beulah Roper of El Dorado; sister, Joreta Gregoire of Wichita; brother, Nicky Sanders of Denver, Colo.; 25 grandchildren; one great grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews. Cleta will be missed, yet remembered always. Cleta was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sanders; uncle, David Sanders; and grandmother, Cleta Langeley. Memorial in her memory is for the American Heart Association which may be left with Carlson Funeral Home, who is in charge of the arrangements.
