Treva L. Graham, 86, of Beatrice, Neb., died on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.
Inurnment will be at 10:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Beatrice.
She was born on May 4, 1926 at Douglass, Kan. She lived on the farm with her family for 17 years when they moved to Illinois.
She returned to Kansas and attended Kansas State University and then Emporia State Teachers College. She owned and operated the Ivy House Floral Shop in Augusta before marrying Donald Graham on Dec. 30, 1951 at Augusta.
They lived in Augusta and other Kansas communities before moving to Missouri in 1973 and then to Beatrice in 1978. She taught first grade for 15 years in Kansas and Missouri and when they came to Beatrice she worked for Countryside Florist until retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice and had been active in the Ladies Circle and Keystone Supper group. She enjoyed her grandchildren, doing crafts and painting.
Survivors include: one daughter, Patricia Schroeder and husband Kenton of Dewitt; two sons, Richard Graham and wife Melody of Duncan, Okla. and James Graham and wife Lana of Carthage, Mo.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Howard Smith of Webb City, Mo.; sister-in-law, Nola Blinn of Topeka; three nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Meta DeFore Len; her husband Donald, who died June 30, 2010; one daughter, Treva Sue Smith, who died in 1976; one granddaughter, Kathleen Schroeder; one sister, Dorothy Graham.
A memorial has been established to the Centenary United Methodist Church TV ministry.
