Annabelle Howard, 91, of Andover, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Andover United Methodist Church, Andover, KS. Burial will follow at Andover Cemetery. Annabelle was born in Climax, KS on December 1, 1921, to the late Nellie Faye (Walford) and John David Essick.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James O. Howard; parents, John and Nellie Essick; sisters, Mary Sanderson, Louise Kleysteuber, Helen Ketterman, and Gertrude Buckle. Annabelle retired as a teller at Andover State Bank. She also worked as a court clerk, for her husband.
On April 9, 1939 at El Dorado, KS she married James Howard. She is survived by: daughter, Pat Cummings of Augusta; daughter, Donna Skinner of Derby, KS; son, James Howard and wife Karen of Garden City, KS; sister, Georgia Taylor and husband Howard of Wichita; grandchildren Leann Boucher, of Augusta, Kelly Shelton (Charles), of Wichita, Becky Cryderman (Paul), of Augusta, Jamie Cummings( Ones Mutinda), of Andover, Deanna Schwarz, of Wichita, Darin Dahl, of Rose Hill, Dan Howard (Karen), of Lexington, KY, Bryan Howard, of Pea Ridge, AK. Sixteen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren.
