Construction is continuing to progress on the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Main Street.
"It's going rather well," said Scott Rickard, assistant city engineer, earlier this week. "The weather is helping us."
The project has shifted to the west side of the intersection.
"We have gotten almost all of the storm sewer pipe in the ground now," Rickard said.
In addition the bases for the traffic signals have been poured and the conduit for the signals has been bored underneath.
Rickard said there was a lot of good concrete still in the intersection so they made repairs where it was needed, then just widened the other areas.
They are close to 50 working days on the project, with the contractor having 100 days scheduled, but Rickard said they are more than halfway through with the work.
The contractor will take the week of Christmas off.
