The Butler Lady Grizzlies basketball team moved their season record to 12-2 winning their fifth consecutive contest 69-64 at Redlands Saturday in their final game prior to Winter break.
The Grizzlies utilized a double-double from guard Jamillah Bonner who scored a game high 23 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to help earn the come from behind victory.
Bonner also had three assists and three steals on her night.
The Grizzlies were down 31-27 at halftime shooting 35.5% from the field and converting 11-31 shots and 3-8 from the charity stripe.
Butler overcame the deficit in the second half out scoring Redlands 42-33 in the final 20 minutes to earn the win.
The Grizzlies went 12-33 from the field in the second half but won the game at the free throw line going 16-22 for 73% to close out Redlands.
The Grizzly defense held Redlands to 31% from the field on 20-65 shooting. Redlands went 6-19 from beyond the arc as opposed to Butler being able to convert 4-15 from three-point range.
Samantha Satterlee had 10 points and 7 rebounds for Butler.
Ashlee Ivy was within a point of a double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds, Ivy also had two assists and two steals in the game.
Katie Anderson had 9 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Chelsea Hodison had 7 points and 7 rebounds.
Tysia Manuel and Aaliyah Rutledge each added 4 points each.
The Lady Grizzlies will be back in action in 2013 when they play their first conference game on the road at Garden City on January 5.
Tip off will be at 5:30 p.m.
The Grizzlies will return home on January 9 as they play host to the Hutchinson Blue Dragons again starting at 5:30 p.m.
