  • The Coutts Museum of Art will be holding their monthly Brown Bag Lunch Program from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Local musicians Teresa Bachman and Don Koke will be performing for the program, which will also feature an appearance by John Jenkinson.
Bachman performs with the 37-Mile Band, and since her recent retirement, has had some time to work up some seasonal songs with Koke.
Koke is a humanities instructor at Butler Community College and proprietor of the Iron Horse Concert Hall in downtown El Dorado.
The two will be playing tunes that celebrate winter, Solstice and Christmas. They'll be singing some of favorites, such as "In the Bleak Midwinter," the Huron Carol “'Twas In The Moon of Winter Time" and the Bill Monroe instrumental "Cold Frosty Morning."
In addition, Koke is planning on playing a brand new song with lyrics by El Dorado poet and Coutts Museum member Ted Farmer.  Jenkinson is also expected to sit in with the duo and sing his rendition of audience favorite "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth." He will also join Bachman, Koke and the audience for a fun sing-along of holiday favorites to close out the show.
The Coutts Museum of Art, located in downtown El Dorado, is a regional destination art museum that houses more than 1,500 works of art in an historic downtown building.
