  • The holidays are upon us. In a few short days, families will come together to exchange gifts, to spend time together, and to enjoy the holiday season.
The greatest gift that you can give is yourself.
Let me suggest three gifts that will keep on giving long after the holidays are over.
First, the giving of your time! Spend some quality time with a person who needs some attention. Your time invested will pay you dividends far greater than any other gifts.
The Bible says, "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born from adversity." (Proverbs 17:17).
Second, the giving of your abilities! Some men are gifted at building houses, cabinets, book shelves, and the list could go on. Some are gifted at cooking, sewing, cleaning, etc. So find that person in need of such services and lend a helping hand.
Again the Bible says, "So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." (Galatians 6:10).
Finally, the giving of yourself! When we give ourselves to others we make an investment that is priceless.
"The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered." (Proverbs 11:25).
    Keep on keeping on!
