The streets of ancient Bethlehem came alive with Roman guards, beggars, shepherds and shopkeepers as Augusta's First Christian Church hosted a Night in Bethlehem. A tent was transformed into street scenes typical of the biblical city and featured interactive shops including pottery and blacksmithing, as well as a bakery and market. Shop-keepers and shepherds told travelers of the news of a birth. A star shone over a manger, complete with Joseph, Mary and the Christ child.
