  • There was Music and Magic of Christmas in downtown Augusta Thursday night, as the sidewalks were crowded for the annual Christmas parade. Following a parade with lots of entries, children were able to visit with Santa Claus at the historical C.N. James Cabin.
Ewalt Elementary ESCO took first place in the float division with their "The Music and Magication" entry.
Second place went to the Augusta Scream Basketball Team's "Fast Break at the North Pole" float.
Haverhill Christian Church won third place with their Living Nativity Scene with music.
In the non-float entries, Kelly Unrein and Phyllis Webster took first place with their pink tractor and trailer with pink Christmas trees.
Second place went to the Kansas Museum of Military History for their M-50 Gun Truck decorated in holiday style.
The third place winner was NuTek Simulations for the unique F-15 Eagle "Jet Home for Christmas."
