Donna Sue (Bateson) Angleton, 71, of El Dorado, died Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Galichia Heart Hospital. The family will hold private services.
She was born on June 23, 1941 in Wichita the daughter of Clair Lloyd and Fern Clark Bateson. She graduated from El Dorado High School and had some college hours.
She was a retired homemaker, and was married to Melvin Angleton Oct. 26, 1984. He passed away July 14, 2009. Donna was active in the Senior Center, loved going to the farm with the grandchildren. She owned the Mode-O-Day; had worked at Otasco; and served with the police reserves and was a dispatcher. She enjoyed sewing with the grandchildren and doing crafts. Donna received a heart transplant in 1998.
Those she leaves are her children, Lori Lewis, Glenn Lewis, both of El Dorado, and Debby Silvey of Augusta; grandchildren, Marc, Jacki and husband Travis, Kirsten, Macy, Stephanie, Jessica and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Kyndall, Jaylin, Ava, Allen Zander and Paige; and her sister and husband, Myrna and Paul Byfield of El Dorado.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Lewis Mitchell; brother, Larry Bateson; her husband, Melvin; and parents.
