The Knights of Columbus Council #2296 surpassed their annual giving to The Arc of Butler this year by more than $200.
Grand Knight Chris Hoffman presented the check for $2,344.80 to The Arc of Butler Board of Trustees last week.
Money was collected from the Knights annual Tootsie Roll Drive and will assist The Arc of Butler in program operation.
Programs The Arc provide include a Special Olympics team that participates in six sports or seasons with the state Special Olympics organization, a tennis team called Arc Tennis, Friday Fun Nights for teens and young adults held in Andover and Circle of Friends groups in 15 Butler County Schools. The Arc of Butler also hosts seasonal parties for school aged friends with special needs and Circle of Friends groups throughout Butler County. Informational meetings and workshops are offered for families, caregivers and guardians.
