Butler Community College said thank you to its donors during the annual President’s Donor Dinner Thursday evening at the Hubbard Welcome Center.
Following a welcome by President Jackie Vietti, students from the Butler Fine Arts Department provided the entertainment.
Following the dinner, donor recognitions were made by Stacy Cofer, Butler Community College chief advancement officer.
“The President's Donor Dinner is a way for the Foundation to say thank you for all the ways benefactors contribute to our organization,” Cofer said. “Whether the donation is for scholarships or a building project, they all help to make Butler a better learning environment for our 15,000 students. We'd not be the organization we are without the private contributions from our valued donors!”
Several people and groups were recognized for their lifetime giving levels. The Lifetime Society members have cumulatively donated $10,000 or more throughout their lifetime. Topping that list were the Hubbard Society donors who have given $1,000,000-plus. Those included HollyFrontier, R.D. and Joan Dale Hubbard Foundation and Clifford Stone.
Many more were recognized at the other levels of giving, including Legacy Society, $500,000-plus; Heritage Society, $250,000-plus; Cornerstone Society, $100,000-plus; Trustee Society, $50,000-plus; and Diamond Society, $10,000-plus.
They also recognized donors for their annual giving levels, including those in the Director’s Club who gave $5,000 or more, the Leader’s Club who gave $2,500 or more, the Partner’s Club who gave $1,000 or more and the President’s Club who gave $500 or more.
Also recognized were those in the Circle of Gold Society, which includes people who have planned a gift to Butler in the future, memorials and funds established in 2011-2012.
These funds help the Foundation provide more than 300 scholarship and program support funds for students. They have 240 endowed scholarship funds at the college.
